Tiny  Owls  Child  Care

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Tiny Owls Child Care! My goal is to provide a happy, healthy, and safe environment for your child to learn, grow and have fun in while you are at work. I offer full time care for children aged 12 months to 4 years old. I choose to keep a low teacher to child ratio in my home daycare (1 teacher to 3 or 4 children) as I like to be able to dedicate a lot of time, energy and attention to each child in my care.

Tiny Owls Child Care provides a loving, safe, nurturing, and relaxing environment in which your child can develop and grow to reach his/her fullest potential. At the daycare we focus on sharing, caring, respecting others, and most of all having a lot of fun! My philosophy is based on the belief that children learn through play experiences. At the daycare, children are able to learn new skills, and appropriate behaviour through play and daily activities. I also believe that a child learns best when there is both flexibility and structure in their day. There should be enough flexibility to allow for spontaneous activities, but there should also be an overall structured routine to allow the children to feel comfortable and to help them transition through their day.

My goal is to provide the best possible care for your children each day by:

• Providing fun, stimulating, educational and age appropriate activities
• Encouraging children to discover a natural love of learning – helping them to learn new skills through playing with toys and puzzles,

     taking part in circle time and group games, playing outdoors, and interacting and socializing with the other children in the daycare  

• Allowing the children to express their feelings and to communicate their ideas and opinions
• Offering nutritious lunches and snacks to fill tummies and fuel little minds
